chance and i just got back from vacation in san juan, puerto rico, and it was an absolute blast!! we had a few experiences we could have done without, but overall the trip was amazing. we rode a ferry to a nearby island, called culebra, that was the most beautiful beach i've ever been to. the water was crystal clear and there weren't rocks and seaweed anywhere!! the waves were pretty awesome too! we visited the only rainforest in the u.s. national forest system. also, very pretty (and lots of exercise!). we tried another island near culebra, which didn't work out too well for us. we ran out of cash and only had our american express with us (which they apparently didn't take on this island). we needed to get back to the ferry and had to pay for parking once back on the main island. we figured it out, but we thought we were going to have to hike back to the ferry since we really couldn't afford a taxi back. since God was looking out for us though, a nice man agreed to "cut us a deal" on the taxi ride back. so we made it just fine. we had so much fun and weren't completely ready to come home..
we came home from the beach to 20 degree weather and snow and ice everywhere!! it is absolutely beautiful!
